The Yuku High-Speed Railway is part of China's national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" railway network, and the Laifu Tunnel is a double-track tunnel in the Sichuan-Chongqing section of the Yuku High-Speed Railway, with a total length of 4616 meters. This tunnel is located at the junction of Xuzhou District in Yibin City and Gao County, with mostly low mountains and large undulations, and a maximum burial depth of approximately 314 meters.
The geological strata traversed by the tunnel are mainly mudstone interlayered with sandstone and sandstone interlayered with mudstone, and the tunnel also passes through one fault of the Fojie Mountain, one goaf area, and two fractured zones, with numerous rock fissures. Facing challenges such as coal seam gas, goaf areas, and gradients, this is a challenging project.
On September 12, 2021, construction officially started on the Laifu Tunnel of the Yuku High-Speed Railway Sichuan-Chongqing section Station Front Lot Six. China Railway Third Engineering Bureau undertook the construction task and introduced various large-scale mechanical equipment, including multifunctional drilling rigs, rock breaking trolleys, and arch assembly trolleys, to cope with the complex geological conditions.
The LanHi Intelligent Drilling and Arch Integrated Trolley is suitable for full-section and step-by-step tunnel construction. It adopts a sturdy integrated chassis engineering platform equipped with dual rock drilling arms and a stand, with features such as four-wheel steering, four-wheel drive, and bidirectional driving. It is easy to operate, with low failure rates and high reliability, effectively improving the efficiency and safety of tunnel construction.
The large-scale mechanized construction of the Laifu Tunnel has achieved normalized operations, providing valuable experience for improving the level of railway tunnel construction, overcoming quality issues, reducing construction costs, and enhancing safety.
